Tao & Zen

Taoism and Zen are the two columns of Chinese wisdom. Taoism is one of the oldest religions of the human race, even though the Tao in which his followers believe is not a God, but rather a universal law and a model of harmony in the world. It is also a perfect way for people to live on Earth. Based on the principles of Yin and Yang, and having a mathematical structure, the  theoretical Taoism is the basis of Chinese acupuncture, of I Jing, the theory of five elements of nature, Feng Shui and the ancient art of strategy and governing.

Zen is not a religion even though it often makes references to  Buddhism. The word Zen means meditation and is a method for achieving enlightenment and spiritual liberation. Derived from the Buddhist school of Mahayana, it was introduced in China in the fifth century BC, where it picked up many elements of Taoism. From there it quickly spread to Korea and Japan. In the past two centuries, Zen has found its way to the West and greatly influenced the Western thought.
