A Shepherd without cattle

  • Print

A man was once told that his cattle were impounded. Upon hearing this, he was unperturbed. Later, another man came along and informed him that his cattle were to be freed, and that no fine was going to be slapped on him, and he remained just as calm as before. This was because the cattle were not his. As he was not the owner of the cattle, he was not affected by the news. He became neither happy not sad. You also, should behave in a similar fashion, and lead your life as if nothing in the world belongs to you.
